Another Wishlist and Good News

Hello there! Long time no blog really, it has been more than a week since the last time I posted something here.

I know the last post was also a wishlist, but lately I have been really uninspired to write anything and since I’ve been drooling over some products, I thought maybe I should just compile it into another wishlist, this time not exclusively to products sold at

Before we proceed to the wishlist, I have some good news!
First : Maybelline Indonesia has officially launched The Rocket Volum’ Express Mascara and also Eyestudio Color Tattoo! I personally only have spotted the mascara just yesterday in the nearest Matahari Department Store, whilst the Eyestudio Color Tattoo have not arrived to the counter just yet. It has been up on Maybelline Indonesia’s website though. So we’ll just have to wait for it to come to your local department store and possibly drugstores and supermarkets.

Second : It has been confirmed on Bioderma Indonesia Facebook Page that Bioderma will soon come to some drugstores on September! It’s just a few days away! I’m so excited!

The last good news that also triggers me to write this post is : is having a 30% off of its makeup section until August 31st.

With all this good news, I can officially announce that I am broke. There’s too many things I want that I don’t even know which one to buy first. I’ve been thinking and decided some things :
1. I don’t need to buy the much hyped The Rocket mascara now because I had just bought Maybelline The Falsies Mascara (review might come up later)
2. I don’t need to buy the Color Tattoo because I have just ordered it on the last beauty sale. I just have to visit the counter and swatch some :p
3. I HAVE TO buy Bioderma once I spotted it in any drugstore that I may visit in the future. I have not get any information about the price but I may have to save around IDR 200.000 just in case.
4. I seriously need to buy a concealer. I don’t know what but probably the Maybelline Dream Lumi Highlighting Concealer that I put on my last wishlist.

Now, here’s all the things I want (not necessarily need) compiled into another beauty wishlist (be prepared to see a whole bunch on things) :

1. Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder, Transparent
2. Laura Mercier Mineral Powder SPF 15
3. Sally Hansen Wax Strip Kit for Face
4. Wet n Wild Shine, Dreamy Poppy
5. Seche Restore, Restoration Thinner
6. Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat
7. Essie, Mint Candy Apple
8. Essie, First Timer
9. Origins Make A Difference Plus Rejuvenating Treatment
10. Covergirl Lashblast Clump Crusher, Very Black
11. Real Techniques Brushes

  1. Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent. This powder has been raved by almost all beauty gurus that I follow, and I’ve been wanting a transparent mattifying powder so this seems like a good choice. I’m just still unsure whether the color “transparent” is really transparent or not.
  2. Laura Mercier Mineral Powder SPF 15. I have been eyeing this particular mineral powder for quite a while, I considered asking my friend to buy me this when she went to Singapore but decided that I should try myself before I buy it to make sure the color will match me perfectly and that I will like its finish. Some people swore by this product while some other said that it’s too glittery and shiny and some others said that it makes them itchy (allergy I guess). So, I think I have to buy this myself when have the chance to visit Sephora.
  3. Sally Hansen Wax Strip Kit for Face. Sally Hansen products (I think) has been recently available in Indonesian drugstores, so I wonder if this particular Wax Strip Kit will be available along with the other non-nail-related things some time in the near future.
  4. Wet n Wild Shine, Dreamy Poppy  This line of Wet n Wild nail polish isn’t currently available in Indonesia so I’ve been eyeing the one from I don’t really need nail polish to be honest, just because I can only use it when I’m on my period (Moslems are not allowed to wear nail polish because it will prevent the nails from getting cleaned when doing ablution). But I like to wear it from time to time and this color is so cute! I might try and find another readily available brand with similiar color though.
  5. Seche Restore, Restoration Thinner. When you don’t use your nail polish so often like I do, or you have just way too many polish that you only wear a particular color every once in a while, you must have come across a clumpy or dried nail polish. This thing will fix it. So, I think everyone and their friends need this.
  6. Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat. Cult favorite top coat. I personally think that the top coat is the most important thing to use when you’re wearing nail polish. Not only it makes your nail shines like you have applied it super perfectly, it also prevents the color to chip easily.
  7. Essie, Mint Candy Apple. Been wanting some mint green color and this one is so cute. Again, I don’t think I really need it.
  8. Essie, First Timer. Another blue-ish green. Just plain pretty.
  9. Origins Make A Difference Plus Rejuvenating Treatment. My face have turned quite combination lately and Kate and Estee said that this cream helps fix zits and all and I really really wanna try origins product but it’s sooooooo expensive when converted to IDR. I think I have to push aside this cream to the bottom of the wish list.
  10. Covergirl Lashblast Clump Crusher, Very Black. I recently discovered that Max Factor is the sister company of Covergirl. So I’ve looked up and found that Max Factor have a similar or maybe the same mascara called Clump Defy. It is readily available in Indonesia but it’s priced around IDR 130.000,00. And ordering the Covergirl version online turns out to be cheaper. But I think I’ll try the Maybelline Rocket before ordering this.
  11. Real Techniques Brushes. I love love love the Real Technique Expert Face Brush that I want to get another, or in this case almost all of their other brushes. Still can’t make up my mind which one to get first though.
This turns out to be quite a long post, so I hope you didn’t get bored, haha. What beauty item that you’ve been eyeing? Do you like making wishlist to keep track of your purchases? Do share in the comment down below!
Have a happy weekend 🙂
Advertisements Wishlist #1

This post might sound weird for some of you who lives in the US. Why would I compile a wishlist for drugstore beauty products? I mean, it would be easy for you (who lives in the US) to just go out your front door and drive to the nearest drugstore (CVS, Walmart, Walgreens, you name it). But I live in Indonesia, where drugstore products aren’t as exciting as it is in the US.

So, last week there’s a sale on beauty section. I had known about the sale around 3-4 days before it ends but since I don’t know what I want, I just impulsively ordered some stuff just a few hours before the sale ends. So now, while waiting for the stuff I ordered to come (it might takes up to 3-5 weeks for the stuff to arrive because I live in Indonesia), I decided to arrange a wishlist to prepare for the next sale, haha!

Before we go to the wishlist, here’s the things I ordered last week :

Covergirl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm, Coral Twist
Maybelline Eyestudio Color Tattoo, Bad To The Bronze
Maybelline Color Whisper, Rose of Attraction

And here’s my wishlist :

1. Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner, Nude
2. Wet n Wild Color Icon Blusher, Mellow Wine
3. Covergirl Eye Enhancer 1 Kit Eye Shadow, Champagne
4. Rimmel 60 Second Nail, Sweet Lavender
5. Wet n Wild Megalast Salon Nail Color, Tropicalia
6. Covergirl Lip Perfection Lipstick, Heavenly
7. Maybelline Dream Lumi Highlighting Concealer, Nude

There you go, my wishlist. I find that making wishlist help me control my spending, because I have planned what I want and I will spare some money for it.

How about you? Do you like making wishlist? Do you have any suggestion what must-have item I should put in my wishlist? Let me know in the comment below!

Have a good day 🙂

Have You Heard?

Last week I was just browsing around the web when I stumbled upon this. I thought it was just a fake account or something so I searched on google and found some beauty blogger confirming that the product will soon be available in Indonesia (click here and here if you’re interested to read the post).
I really really really really (yeah, that much) wanted to try this product for sooooooo long but never tried to buy it online because it’s just so expensive (what can I expect when ordering a 250 / 500 ml product overseas?). Now that it’s coming to Indonesia and will be available in Guardian, I’ll make sure to save up some money so when it’s finally launched I could  grab one right away!
How about you, have you heard? Are you as excited as I am? I really hope they will launch real soon!
Have a nice day!

REVIEW | The Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream

Hello, I’m sorry that I haven’t posted anything for about a week. On the last days of Ramadhan, it’s kind of hectic in my house (we were preparing for Idul Fitri feast) plus my grandparents were staying for 3 days. So, before we proceed to the review, I would like to say:

1434 H
May Allah accept all the good deeds we had done during the month of Ramadhan
So, today’s review is about The Body Shop All-in-One BB cream. I got this maybe around February or March, and I have one in the shade #3. I bought this on a whim when my mother needed to buy something from The Body Shop. At the store I didn’t even realize that this BB cream has a choice of shade, I just tested it on my hand and when it didn’t appear too light or whitish I decided to buy it.
The cream comes out white from the tube and contains small beads that will burst out pigment when rubbed to the skin. You can see from the picture above that the side of the tube’s opening are cream colored because the beads bursts when the lid was screwed to the tube.
half blended
This is how the cream looked like, it’s quite runny or liquidy compared to most asian bb creams. On the second picture, you can see that the half blended cream has half pigment bursted from the tiny tiny beads while the unblended side remains white. On the third picture you can see that when blended, the color was a tad too dark, therefore it doesn’t match my skin tone. Keep in my that this is blended to my hand which is darker in color than my face. I think I should’ve gotten the shade #2 which wasn’t available at the store when I bought this.
Shade aside, I really like the consistency of this BB cream because it’s very easy to blend. It gives a sheer to medium coverage with glowy finish. I have quite dry skin so I prefer dewy/glowy finish but I this product gives an almost shiny/greasy finish when applied on my moisturized skin. So I suggest to apply finishing or setting powder after this BB cream to keep your face from looking shiny. I usually use a lighter powder to help lighten the shade of the BB cream.
This BB cream has some kind of oil to help moisturize the skin, but sadly, I think the oil might clog pores and caused me to break out when used frequently.
So, to sum it up here’s the pros and cons of this BB cream :
Pros :
– Available in 3 shades
– Lightweight
– Moisturizing
Cons :
– This product caused me to break out
– Might look very shiny on people with oily skin
– A bit on the pricey side (IDR 179.000)

Work In Progress #2 | Girls Dress

Hello, we meet again.

So, earlier today my mom bought a piece of clothing, I don’t really know what to call it, but maybe it’s some kind of long romper? It’s something like this (might insert my own pics later) :

image from here

The one that my mom bought was a floral print jersey on the bodice with black cullotes. When I tried it on at home, my sister said that she wanted one like that too. Looking at the construction of the clothing, I imagine it wouldn’t be too hard to make, especially for girls clothing (she’s only 8), I don’t need to make darts! So I told her I would make it for her, but instead of cullotes, the bottom would be a skirt (so it’s practically a dress), because it’s easier for her to wear and easier for me to make, haha.

After digging through our fabric collection, we found a brownish green colored fabric and a matching floral printed fabric. Since the brownish green fabric was a bit sheer, I make it into the top instead of the bottom because the bodice part will be fully faced with the same fabric.

I quickly make the pattern, using the Bunka sloper for woman with some adjustments (no bust darts, no shoulder darts, no waist darts, smaller armhole) and her fitted dress for comparison. And here’s the almost finished look :

I did not take her head circumference into consideration when making the neckhole so I imagine it wouldn’t fit through her head, I might need to cut a little on the back and make it secured with button. I will hopefully post a better picture when I’ve done making the adjustments and get hold of a better camera.

I’ve finally finished the dress and this is how it looked like when worn by my sister :

I decided to use a zipper on the back, and since I could not find regular zipper, I used metal teeth zipper instead, haha. My mom said it looked like a bag’s zipper. I also did not do anything with the arm hole because I don’t know what to do with it haha.
As always, thank you for reading, any feedback is much appreciated!

Good night 🙂

Favorite Beauty Blogger #4

Hello there.

Today I wanna share yet another beauty blogger whose blog I very much enjoy reading.

It’s Kate from! Sneak peek :

(screen grab of her website)

Kate has a YouTube channel with the same name as her blog (gh0stparties). She also has an online beauty and lifestyle magazine called Nouvelle Daily. She wrote a more detailed and personal product reviews and recommendation on her personal blog, and a shorter, more brief product recommendation on Nouvelle Daily. I love how consistent she is in writing posts. She posts like, everyday. And I think I read in one of her post that she had planned all the posts weeks, even months before the post is up on her blog or online magazine. That’s what I call a model blogger.

Go on, click on this link to go to her website or this link to go to her online magazine and get your daily dose of beauty and lifestyle reads!
