Hi again! Today I have a review on my first ever MAC purchase from a while back (posted here). It’s the lipstick in Plumful.
I have briefly reviewed this product in the haul post, but now that I’ve used it for a while I thought I’d share the full review with you all. First, I have to admit I never think of buying a MAC lipstick before. Just because it’s way up my usual price range. But after watching this video from essiebutton, I HAVE TO at least have one of it. It just look so damn beautiful on her!
At first I was hesitant about which one to buy (Estee featured 5 of her top MAC lipstick and I liked 3 of them, all of which was Lustre finishes), so I decided I’d just go to the counter and try it on myself as lipsticks can look a lot different from person to person. I didn’t think I tried “Syrup” just because I thought it would look too pale on me, but now that I have the Plumful — which Estee referred as the brighter version of Syrup — I think I’d like to try Syrup!
Enough with the background of why I got this particular lipstick from this particular brand, let’s get going with the review!

MAC describe Plumful as “Blossoming Rose-Plum” which I honestly not too sure how it should look like. Plumful has a lustre finish, which means it’s a bit on the sheer-er side. And by sheer it means it isn’t full on opaque but it still packed enough color. You can wear it lightly dabbed (which will give you just a tint of color) or you can swipe it all over your lips to get medium coverage. It’s also glossy — which I love. Because of the sheer-ness (is that a word?), this is a very easy color to wear considering it’s actually quite bold. The glossiness and the sheerness of the lipstick does make it easier to transfer and thus fade, but I don’t mind to reapply as I feel like reapplying give enough moisture back to my lips. Oh and I have to say that when wearing this lipstick, I mostly don’t feel the need to wear lip balm underneath which is a plus! So far, I’m loving this lustre formulation and See Sheer/Capricious/Syrup is already up on my wishlist!

Hope you love the review and swatch, and I’ll see you in my next post!
Hello there, today I have another “What I’ve Been Eyeing” post. It’s the Leaders Insolution Masks!
I actually have been eyeing this particular brand ever since they were featured on Luxola a few months back. But it wasn’t until earlier this week when I was just strolling around the interwebs looking for some product reviews (not a good idea! Now I have tons of products I’m eyeing) and stumbled upon a review of the Leaders Insolution masks.
Here’s how it looks like :
From the reviews I read, what makes this masks special is that it has a very soft, very moist sheet. When used, it isn’t dripping wet. This is very important because some other cheaper mask sheet are usually easily teared, too big, too wet that the serum (the important stuff!) is left on the plastic packaging or dripping down from your face when you’re using the mask. What a waste, right?
Other than the high quality mask sheet, people said that the serum itself is amazing! Some people said that they can feel the difference right after the mask is peeled off of their face. Mostly just stated that their face feel much more moisturised and supple while some other say that their face also appear glowing or brighter. I don’t know about that, but the moisturising properties itself had gotten me to want this!
Just like regular serum, I believe that this mask will only make a real difference on your skin when used regularly for a long period of time. It’s totally up to you how many times you’d like to use the mask, it can range from once a day to once a week or once every two weeks if you’re alternating between other serums.
I have one sheet in the red packaging (AC dressing) but I can’t really comment on it because I don’t even have that much blemish problem, and I only tried one so…. I need more! Next time I’d like to try the Vita-Bright which I do hope will help brighten up my dull skin!
How about you? Have you tried the Leaders Insolution masks? Do you like it? What’s your favorite? Tell me in the comments section below!
Well, hello there! It’s been over a month since my last post and I don’t have any excuses other than being my lazy self. Haha :p
I was gonna post a birthday wishlist but then I could not make up my mind of what I actually want to get for my birthday. So instead I’m gonna post a review slash swatch of the Covergirl Jumbo Gloss Balm in Coral Twist.
I haven’t made a lot of review (despite the fact that I keep buying new makeup this past few months) mostly because I don’t have a decent camera to capture a good quality image and close to real life swatches. So, when my class had a seminar last week, I was forced to find the camera because I actually need it. And when I still have it around, I thought this is the right time to do review and swatch! Here goes the review & swatch :

(Photo taken under artificial lighting at night and adjusted to get the closest to real life color)
Covergirl Jumbo Gloss Balm is one of the drugtsore version of lip crayons that’s been circulating in the market for quite a while. I bought this a while back (maybe around July-August?) and it was summer so I went for the bright coral. This is marketed as gloss balm, so it is supposed to give a moisturising feeling with glossy effect. And I have to say that it’s right! I have no problem putting it on a slightly dry lips because it doesn’t accentuate the dryness of the lips and after sometime I feel like it actually moisturises my slightly dry lips! I can also say that it has the right amount of glossiness without the stickiness of a lip gloss.
The color is spot on bright coral on my lips. I think it suits me kind of well (doesn’t wash me out or look weird) but I do have a little problem with the color. I find that this particular color doesn’t spread as even as I would like. It can be kind of concentrated on a spot and sheerer on other place (it’s kind of hard to explain) but this can easily be solved with rubbing your lips together.
Staying power is average, around 3-4 hours with minor eating or drinking. As a balm I have expected it to transfer easily, and it does.
Overall I like this better than Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain because this actually feels moisturising on the lips. I would like to get some other color but sadly this isn’t available in Indonesia so I think I should be content with this color for now.
So, what is your favorite Lip Crayon? What do you think about the Covergirl Jumbo Gloss Balm? Let me know in the comments below!
